Obituary of Elsie Mae Ellis Dodson

Hillsborough - Mrs. Elsie Mae Ellis Dodson, age 89, a resident of Dairy Land Road died on March 28, 2014. Mrs. Dodson was born in Chatham County on October 24, 1924 to the late Lula Tripp Ellis and John Ellis. Elsie retired from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She was also a caring mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dodson is predeceased by her husband, Thomas Edward Dodson; five brothers and one sister. Surviving are one daughter, Deborah D. Williams and her husband Forest of Pittsboro; one son, Edward Dodson and his wife Cheryl of Yanceyville; four grandchildren, Angela Dodson, Jill Williams, Jessica Williams and Kyle Williams. Chapel services will be at 3:00PM on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the chapel of Walker's Funeral Home in Hillsborough and will be officiated by Rev. Dennis Seaver and Rev. Ed Dodson. Visitation will preceed the funeral from 1:30PM to 2:45PM. Burial will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery. Online condolences can be made by visiting www.walkersfuneralservice.com.
