Obituary of Patrick Michael Sobczak

Patrick Michael Sobczak, 61, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Hock Family Pavilion, Durham, North Carolina. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 12, 1952 to the late Daniel and Julia Sobczak. He had a lifelong zest for knowledge. In 1990, he graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama with a Doctorate of Philosophy. In 2004, George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia awarded him as an honor student to study comparative health care systems at Oxford University, England. He married Christie Siegel of Arlington, Virginia in 2005. Patrick is survived by wife, Christie, sister, Carol Jean Feltman, brother, Kenneth Sobczak and 7 nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. at the Church of the Good Shepard, 3741 Garrett Road, Durham, North Carolina, where a viewing will begin at 3 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Walker Funeral Home, 120 W. Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
