Hello Betty,
I remember when you and Bro. Tom led a revival at Prentiss United Methodist
Church in Prentiss,MS. It has been quite a number of years ago but I'll always
remember the message that Bro. Tom delivered on having faith as a grain of mustard
seed. To this day, I STILL have that mustard seed!
Through the years when going through a difficult situation, I always remembered
the mustard seed and the verse that was emphasized in that message.
Matthew 17:20 "O ye of little faith," he answered. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size pf a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible to you.
My little mustard seed is kept in a tiny little music box that is lined with velvet.
I find myself going back to open the box from time to time and I always remember the verse that Bro. Tom instilled in my mind so long ago.
Please know that his teachings touched the hearts of many people and they
will pass them on to future generations. I know he touched my heart in a very special
way through the simple illustration of a mustard seed.
My prayers are with you and the rest of the Cloyd family during this time.
