Oh how will miss my friend Paul's gracious spirit, uproarious laugh and cheering Duke, on with him at Craft Public House!(also other sports,as well)
I loved his laugh and how he made everyone feel comfortable, like we were family to him. He also taught me alot about life and sports(especially golf)...we had many conversations about his family he loved so much, and were proud of. SInce I was a "woman of the cloth" as he put it, we would discuss matters of faith.He lived his faith in a way that was uniquely him.
I remember one of the last times I saw him come in;and I was eating there. Someone said, "Paul's here!!!"(he had not been in a little while.)..the entire staff was so happy to see him, as I was. They all greeted him at the door and he was giving high 5's like he was in a parade or something! It was hysterical! As he walked to his seat, surrounded by friends, I thought to myself about the many friends he had everywhere.
What a gentleman he was!! What a great friend,and awesome, good guy! I will miss him, but I know there is at least 1 person in heaven who is pulling for the "right" color of blue(in the sea of Carolina blue) and that would be Duke!!!
I lift prayers for you, his family as you grieve his loss. May the Lord bless you and keep you all in His loving care.
