Obituary of Kimberly Riley Carden

Kimberly Riley Carden, 54, a native of Hillsborough, died Sunday August 31st, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones. Kim was born in Washington D.C. on November 16th, 1959 to the late James P. Riley of Hillsborough, NC and Shirley G. Collins who also resides in Hillsborough. Surviving are her loving husband, Charles "Chuck" Carden, daughters Shannon M. Blake of Timberlake and Britney Christine Sineath of Oxford, one Grandson Tycen Zander Sineath who was her world from the day he was born. Also survived by one brother Gregory P. Riley, her sisters, Debra Logner, and Allison Collins. She is preceded in death by her brother William "Bill" Riley. Also surviving her "Diddy" Joe Collins and honorary stepfather Fred Perry. Kim was known for her wonderfully fun personality and her infectious laugh. Although she only had two daughters, she was a second Mom to many others. She always looked forward to her frequent visits with her grandson Tycen, who called her "Ga". Kim was a true Carolina Tar Heel fan through and through and hosted an annual super bowl party for family and friends. A true sports fan. Services will be held at Eno United Methodist Church, 903 Eno Street Hillsborough, NC on Friday September 5th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. followed by visitation with the family in the reception hall.
