I first met Nancy on a Halloween day several years ago. I was driving through neighborhoods looking for houses in Siler City. I found one little house at the end of a street and stopped to look closer. There was a woman sitting outside on a bench next door and I thought it was a good idea to ask her about the neighborhood. As I walked closer I realized she had on a crazy purple wig, which she very quickly assured me is not her regular headwear and she only had it on for her grandkids who would be home from school shortly. I asked what the neighborhood is like and we talked for a bit. After a while the grandkids showed up and Nancy started introducing me as their new neighbor. (Remember, this was the first time I was even looking at the house or driving through the neighborhood). Well it turns out she was right, we bought the house and Nancy, Pill and the grandkids were our neighbors for many years.

Well, things I most loved about Nancy was her sense of humor and her cooking!!! She could make some delicious meals and loved to laugh. We even got a few good chuckles from her during our last visit with her. I know her fun loving spirit has been freed from all suffering here on earth. Will miss her until I see her again!
