Obituary of Paul Douglas McIntyre

Paul Douglas McIntyre, of Chapel Hill NC passed away of a sudden heart attack on December 17, 2014. Born in 1951 in El Paso, Texas, he lived most of his early adult life in the Roanoke / Blacksburg and Salem area and moved to Chapel Hill , NC to pursue a career in the information technology field at University of North Carolina. He was a graduate of Roanoke College and Virginia Tech. Doug loved living in Chapel Hill. His interests in BMWs, dogs, gardening, cooking and woodworking kept him busy with many friends. He and Karen also enjoyed the many arts and cultural amenities of the area. He was delighted by all the "little joys" in life, and laughed often. He also loved visiting his family in the Roanoke area, and adored his little nephew Ryan and even littler niece Annabelle. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Nelson McIntyre, sister Janice Louise McIntyre and brother-in-law Jeff Eaton. Surviving Doug are his wife Karen McIntyre, mother Evelyn McIntyre, brother Brent, sister-in-law Abigel McIntyre, sister-in-law Marilyn Eaton and nephews Ryan McIntyre, Chris, Craig and Matthew Eaton and niece Annabelle McIntyre.
