Lishan was like our sister since we first met over 35 years ago in Ethiopia, then Switzerland and again in Chapel Hill. We will always remember her generosity and her capacity to adapt to new cultures. She raised her lovely children in the same spirit of kindness and humanity and they will be her legacy. We are sorry not to be with them today to say farewell to Lishan but we will look forward to sharing our memories of their Mother with them in future. Lishan was one of my dearest friends! She was so thoughtful and caring. She did many things for so many people that no one even knows about! She had a prayer life that was amazing! I have been so blessed to have been a recipient of those prayers to Jesus! I shall miss her so very much, as I know her family will. But there is no doubt at all that she is in Heaven with her Lord and with many she has loved and cared for! Well done, good and faithful one! I shall always love you! Janelle
