In the 50's, Mike was the Pro at Locust Valley CC in Coopersburg, Pa. I caddied there and found Mike to be a very positive influence on all of us young teens, who worked there caddying....Very patient, fair guy who was never too busy to teach us something about life....about golf and the importance of getting an education....God bless..... I was saddened to read about Mike's passing. I met Mike many many years ago whe he ran Golf City. Went there often to hit balls. Will always remember him as a very nice and friendly man who loved golf and was genuinely interested in helping you in any way with your game. I met his son, Jeff many years later and still enjoy running into him and catching up on life in Chapel Hill. I enjoyed reading about Mike's life and glad it was a fulfilling and long one. I'm sorry for your loss.
