It is said that you can tell a lot about a man by the way he treats his wife. This is true, and I know Zeke treated Lydia and the rest of his family very very well. I would like to add that you can tell a lot about a man by the emotional and spiritual condition of his wife and family. It was very obvious to me that Zeke was a godly man not only from what I observed in him, but what I saw in Lydia. I watched Lydia as she became more and more confident and at peace the longer she was married to Zeke. It was apparent to me that he never gave her reason to doubt his love for her, and that he had to have been encouraging her in her growth in the Lord. I know Zeke, but I know Lydia better, and I can say with perfect confidence that they were great for each other. I also know that Zeke was a motivator and a motivation to all who would listen or watch him. When I watched him, I saw Jesus. When I look at his family, I see Zeke's influence; thus I see Jesus two-fold in them.

My fondest memory of Zeke was our last vacation with him and my sister Lydia. Little did we know that it really was our last because my husband past away shorty after that. Zeke, Lydia Ernie and I would take spontaneous trips to places like Virginia and The Poconos or just come out to NC and visit them or they would show up at our home in PA. November 2013 we visited Zeke and Lydia for Thanksgiving and made a huge Thanksgiving dinner. Zeke always welcomed us with a smile and we enjoyed our time together. Now he is enjoying the blessings of Heaven along with my husband and other family members, he will be missed and loved forever.
