Bill Holloway Born June 24, 1925, Mr. Bill Holloway, loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather and good friend, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015. He was retired from Duke University after 35 years. He was a Duke fan and also loved the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed being outside riding his John Deer lawn mower and taking care of his cows. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Hall Holloway of Hillsborough, his two sons, Billy Holloway (Donna) and Mike Holloway (Rhonda) and grandchildren Shannon Moran, Amanda Love, Chad Holloway, Nicholas Holloway, Micah Holloway and great grandchildren Jackson Moran and Rylee Holloway, his brothers Elry Holloway and Wayne Holloway, and sisters Nancy Langley, Alice Delozier and Joyce Trickey. He is preceded in death by his father S. A. Holloway and Vera Walker Holloway, his brothers and sisters, Craven Holloway, Lynwood Holloway, Edith Wrenn, and Lucy Lane. He will be missed by everyone who loved him! The funeral will be on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Walker's Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at Pleasant Green Cemetery in Durham. The viewing will be at Walker's Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 PM. The family will receive friends and family at 1000 U.S. Hwy. 70 West in Hillsborough. Pallbearers will be Chad Holloway, Nicholas Holloway, Micah Holloway, E. J. Moran, Randy Copeland and Mark Hall. Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions can be made to Duke Home Care. Thank you to everyone for all the acts of kindness you have shown our family during this time.
