Obituary of Judith Teague Gibbons

Judith Teague Gibbons, age 74, died on May 11, 2015. Judy was born Nov 8, 1940 to the late Oliver (Ott) and Ophelia Teague in Valdese, NC. Judy graduated from Valdese High School and worked at Valdese General Hospital for many years. She finished her career working at Chapel Hill OB/GYN for 10 plus years. Judy is survived by her daughter Mimi Hagan and husband Gary Hagan of Chapel Hill, NC with whom she lived for the last 19 years. She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth "Libby" Cooper, niece Kristy Hodges and husband Andy, nephew Christopher "Chip" Cooper and wife Denise, and niece Julie Cooper, as well as 6 great nephews, all of Valdese, NC. A Memorial Service followed by a Receiving of Friends will be held at 3 pm on Sunday June 7th, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Valdese, NC. (firstchurchvaldese.org). Flowers are welcomed and appreciated. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Judy's favorite charity was the Humane Society.
