Obituary of Kathryn Lloyd Scott

Kathryn Lloyd Scott, 88, lifetime resident of Orange County, passed away at her home in Chapel Hill on May 11, 2015 following a short illness. She raised a large family, was employed by and retired from Collier Cobb and Associates, Inc. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Scott McFarland and husband Fred, sons Thomas "Tommy" Scott and friend Deane Schweinsberg, William "Billy" Scott, P. Michael "Mike" Scott, Jeffrey "Jeff" Scott, grandchildren Kelly Durham, Amanda Scott, Jennifer Cox, Courtney Fox, Travis Scott, Rick Scott, Ashton Scott, Kevin Scott, Corey Scott, Alex Scott and eight great grandchildren. Kathryn was predeceased by her husband Durwood Scott, daughter-in-law Claudia Scott and son Kenneth "Ken" Scott. The funeral service will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, 1707 White Cross Road, Chapel Hill at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 14. The family will be available for visitation at the church at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to UNC Hospice, PO Box 1077, Pittsboro NC 27312 or to the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund
