Obituary of Doris Parker Walker

Doris Parker Walker, 76, passed away at her home on August 25, 2017. Doris was born January 24, 1941 in Hillsborough, NC to Ira Lee Parker Sr. and Ruby (Combs) Parker and spent the majority of her life as a resident of Orange County. She studied at Atlantic Beauty College and was a beautician for many years before retirement. Doris spent most of her time around her beloved family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts and was well known for throwing her and her husband's annual Ham and Egger. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Harold Winfred Walker Sr.; children Cindy Ciociola and Harold Winfred Walker Jr.; grandchildren Brad Ciociola, Amanda Walker, Jennifer Lee, Katherine Moore, Abigail Walker; great grandchildren Harper Lee, Tristan Jones and Carden Ciociola; sisters Colleen Barbour, Linda Taylor, Mary Dean; brother Ira Lee Parker Jr. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family whom she held very dear. She was preceded in death by her parents Ira Lee Parker Sr. and Ruby Combs Parker and her sister Lola Parker. Services will be held at Walker Funeral Home in Hillsborough on Sunday, September 3rd at 3:00PM.
