My first real job was at Joy's Adventure Afterschool when I was in high school and I enjoyed working with her and the kids so much! She so obviously loved each child and had seemingly unlimited energy to devote to them. I remember when she interviewed me, she smiled contagiously the whole time, and I'm sure she radiated her positivity to everyone she ever met. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Joy was pure light, love, and beauty. I am so glad I got to know her even though it was late in life. When I think of angels, I think of Joy. She is surely at home among those luminous, numinous creatures. We love you, Joy, and we'll look out for those you so palpably loved.
