Obituary of Ian Davis Ingalls

Ian Davis Ingalls January 18,1935 - October 23, 2015 Carrboro Ian Davis Ingalls, 80, departed this life on October 23, 2015. He is survived by his dedicated caregiver and loving wife Jane McCartney Ingalls of the home; his daughter Linda Shade, husband Keith, and 2 granddaughters, Haley and Heather of Washington, Illinois; his sister-in-law Wanita Frank of Timberlake, NC; his brother-in-law Herbert McCartney of Mebane, NC; his cousin Dick Webb and wife Ann of Southern Pines, NC; and his beloved pets Special, Angel, and Peaches. He spent most of his career as a retail manager and was also an avid photographer. He was an Intelligence Officer in the US Army. Visitation will be on Tuesday October 27, 2015 from 6-8pm at Walker's Funeral Home in Chapel Hill. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday October 28, 2015 at Walker's Funeral Home with a graveside service immediately following at Carrboro Westwood Cemetery. Pastor Barry Chambers will Officiate services.
