Glen Townsend Schultz - 1962-2017
Glen Townsend Schultz, 55, of Hillsborough, NC died in a sailboat incident at Kerr Lake on September 9th, 2017.
He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend of many, who loved his family, hiking and fishing, and was a total outdoorsman. Glen was a master craftsman and wood working artist, the sole proprietor of Cedar Cove Workshop of Hillsborough. He brought forth beauty from the natural world and touched the lives of many people through his work.
He was born in Easton, PA and was a graduate of Moravian College (BS), Bethlehem, PA and Duke University (Master of Forestry). Glen coached HYAA baseball and was active in Boy Scout Troop #822 for many years. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Arleen Rose Eppinger, a daughter Hilary of Missoula MT, two sons Elias and Noah of Hillsborough, his parents Jean and Allen Schultz of St Petersburg FL, two sisters Linda Snyder of Franklin, NJ and Lois Wyrick (Brad) of Hillsborough, four nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Hillsborough, on Saturday, September 23 at 2pm. Please bring canned goods for the OCIM food bank.
Following the memorial service, there will be a Toast to A Craftsman Celebration. This will be a pot luck event at the Schultz residence, 2736 Thistle Tr. Hillsborough 27278. Please bring chairs.
