Obituary of Michael Robert Cashion

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that Michael “Mike” Robert Cashion passed away at home on Friday, October 20.  He was 52 years old.

Michael was born on February 8, 1971, to William and Linda Cashion in Charlotte, NC.  Mike grew up in the Charlotte suburbs and graduated in 1995 from Western Carolina University with a degree in Industrial Distribution.  He settled in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill region.

Michael is survived by his wife Jennifer of 26 years and his two daughters, Katelyn (20) and Claire (16), his beloved pug, “Willie”, his mother Linda Wigley and her husband Don of Charlotte, his brother Scott Cashion of Greensboro, stepbrother Todd Wigley and his wife, Kay and their three children of Columbia, SC and his stepsister Christine Bissette and her husband Adrian and their child of Charlotte.  He was preceded in death by his father William W. Cashion.

Mike was a person who loved his family deeply.  His wife and girls were the light of his life.  To know Mike was to know that he would do anything for you and support you in any way that he could.  He never met a stranger and always had a fun story to tell.

He will be missed but we know that he is in Heaven with God.  His celebration of life will be on Saturday, October 28 at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6011 McCrimmon Parkway, Morrisville, NC 27560.  Walker Funeral Home in Chapel Hill has worked with the family during this time.  In lieu of Flowers the family requests a donation be made to the Diabetes Foundation, the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford NC or a charity of your Choice.

Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill is assisting the Cashion family.
