Obituary of Floyd Daniel Bradsher

Floyd Daniel Bradsher, 81 of Hurdle Mills died Tuesday, November 20th after a courageous battle with lung cancer.  Floyd was the son of the late Ira Baynes and Bera Brooks Bradsher and husband of 58 years to Shirley Poole Bradsher who survives.

   Floyd and his late brother, Noel farmed tobacco and operated Bradsher Brothers Equipment and Whitfield Farm Service.Over the years Floyd made countless trips to Georgia, Alabama and Florida buying and selling International tractors and farm equipment.  He had numerous buddies in that part of the country that he did business with for over 50 years.  He was also an avid A model car collector.  A lot of International tractor knowledge will be lost with his passing but a lot will live on with his son, Tony, who worked with his dad since he was a kid.

   In addition to his wife Floyd is survived by his daughter, Teresa Armstrong and husband Jasper, son, Tony Bradsher and wife Amy and one granddaughter, Collins Armstrong.  Also special family Hubert and Monnie Rone.

   Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday, November 25, in Berry's Grove Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Wheelers Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Sunday in Berry's Grove Baptist Church.

   Pallbearers:  Dewey Jones, Jeff Roberson, Chris Brann, Ken Hawkins, Tommy Hawkins, Fred Anderson, Donald Oakley, and Martin Rimmer.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Doug Clayton, Vaughn Compton, Danny Blackbum, Jimmy Briggs, Charles Hall, Nat Williams, Darnell Wolfe, Gary Granitte, Jamie Blalock, Willie Moore, Dink Wilson, Greg Riley, Billy Horner, and Jody Harris.

   Flowers are acceptable or donations to your favorite charity may be made. 

   A special thanks to Dr. Neal Ready and Jennifer Tenhover at Duke Oncology for all their help this past year.
