Obituary of Ina Rosenberg Evans

Chapel Hill, NC - Ina Rosenberg Evans, 91, of Chapel Hill, NC by way of New York, St. Croix, USVI, passed away peacefully in her home in Chapel Hill, on December 7, 2015. A loving wife to Jerry who predeceased her, a loving mother to Craig and Lisa (deceased), a grandmother to Jennifer, Justin, Sarah, and Ryan. A graduate of New York University (1945) where she met the love of her life, Jerry. They shared their lives together for 42 years before his death in 1988. From the world of fashion to the museums of Chapel Hill, where she was the Director of Volunteer Services at Ackland Art Museum. She was the founder of the Ethical Humanist Society of the Triangle. Ina lived a full life making the the most of every day. She was a gentle, intelligent woman who was beloved by all who met her. She will be missed. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Cornucopia House and UNC Children's Hospital. A memorial service is planned for January 2016, in Chapel Hill and New York/New Jersey.
