Obituary of John Gregory Deasey

John Gregory Deasey, 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 14, 2016 after several months of declining health. He was born on October 17, 1951 to the late Robert S. Deasey and Mary Alice O'Donnell Deasey In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by brother, Geoffrey R. Deasey. Left to cherish his memory is one sister, Mary Deasey Collins and her husband Bradley. John was born in New Jersey and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutgers University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His interests included history, science fiction, and mystery stories. John was an active member of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter, Burlington, NC, where he was an usher and a lay reader. A service will be held in John's memory at a later date. In Lieu of Flowers the family request donations be made to the ASPCA. Walker's Funeral Home of Mebane is in charge of arrangements.
