Obituary of JoAnna Suzanne Wright

DURHAM - JoAnna Suzanne Wright, 27, died Friday, August 9, 2013, in Duke Medical Center. She was a native of Durham and a graduate of Tabernacle of Life Christian School. She was a Christian and sang in the quartet of the Tabernacle of Life Church with her closest friends (Amanda, Emily and Esther). She had a great personality and loved beyond and cared for others. She never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. She was employed at First Citizens Bank. She was an only child to her surviving father, Harold C. Wright, Jr.. Her paternal grandparents, Sam and Helen Gibbs. Her maternal grandparent, Marie Green Turner. She claimed and acknowledged one brother:, Dylan Turner and also three sisters: Amanda L. Griffiths, Dawn L. Jimenez, and Amy L. Batten. Surviving aunts are Phyllis Turner-Lutterloh and Sarah Wright Faircloth. Surviving uncles are Marcus Turner, Tony Turner, Roby Alan Turner, Sam Wright, Paul Gibbs, and Jim Wright. Surviving special loved ones, cousins, friends and church Family. Her fiancé was Timothy Greene. She was predeceased by her mother, Naomi Jean Turner Wright. Deceased also is her paternal and maternal grandfathers: Jasper "Pete" Turner and Harold Cleveland Wright, Sr. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday in Tabernacle of Life Church, 2400 Sovereign Street, Durham, NC, by Pastor Roby Turner, Jr. and Assistant Pastor, John Thornton, Jr. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 PM Monday in Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough. All are welcome.
