Obituary of Bobby Young Tatum

Mebane, NC - Bobby Young Tatum, 64 of Mebane, NC passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Alamace-Caswell Hospice in Burlington, NC. Bobby was born in Person County on May 9, 1952 to the late Charlie and Carrie Riley Tatum, and at a young age his parents moved to Orange County. He attended Orange County Schools and served in the U.S. Air Force. Bobby worked with various companies during his life as a drafter. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Duke fan. He appreciated his home, family and his beloved dog Cameron. Bobby is survived by his loving wife Connie W. Tatum of the home, a son, Cody Tatum of Hampton, VA, a stepson Scott Campbell and a step daughter of Roxboro, NC, a sister, Donna Clapp (Ed) of Hillsborough, NC, four brothers: Lynnwood Tatum (Jody) of TX, Sidney Tatum (Jackie) of Timberlake, NC, Thomas Tatum (Deborah) of SC, and Michael Tatum (Libby) of England, six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough, with the Rev. Mike Workman and Rev. Dale Fuquay officiating. They will receive family and friends from 1:30 P.M. until 2:50 P.M. prior to the service and at other times at 1101 Lysander Dr., Mebane.
