Obituary of Rena Taylor Terrell

Hillsborough RENA TAYLOR TERRELL, daughter of the late Ollin Taylor and Emma Maynard Taylor was born August 14, 1928. In the early hours of May 4, 2017, God called Rena home to eternal rest. Rena was a graduate of Chapel Hill High School. She attended and graduated from Croft Secretarial and Accounting School in Durham, NC. She was employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina retiring as manager of underwriting. She was a long time member of Gospel Baptist Tabernacle Church in Hillsborough, NC. Rena married Felton Grady Terrell on March 3, 1951 and was married for 62 years until Felton's passing in 2013. She was predeceased in death by her parents, loving husband, Felton G. Terrell, son, Grady F. Terrell, daughter, Cheryl T. Tubiolo, grandson, Billy O. Terrell, brothers, Hubert, Johnny, Spence, Thomas (Bo) and sister Alice. She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving sons, Richard E. Terrell (Donna), Geryl O. Terrell (Wanda),Daughter-in-law Rose Ann Terrell (Grady), 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sisters, Mary Scott and Octavia (Tavia) Gordon. She also leaves nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The family will receive visitors at Walker Funeral Home, Hillsborough, NC on May 7th from 1:30-2:45. Service will begin at 3:00pm in the Walker Chapel of Hillsborough. Graveside services will be at Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Flowers accepted or make donations to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Rena Terrell.
