Obituary of Betty Davis

Betty Jo Davis 1/11/1938 - 3/3/2012 Betty Jo passed away at home on March 3rd after a lengthy battle with Cancer. She is the daughter of the late Catherine Diggs Staunton and Fred B. Horton. She was retired from UNC Hospitals where she worked in admitting for many years She is survived by her husband Larry Davis and daughter Robin Davis of Chapel Hill and son Barry Davis of Clayton. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth J. Horton of Apex. Left to cherish her memory are 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was a long standing member of Merritts Chapel United Methodist Church where her services will be held, Tuesday, March 6, with visitation from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The funeral will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of floral arrangements, contributions may be made to the Merritts Chapel Cemetery Fund in memory of Betty Jo. The family would like to thank all their friends and church family for their support during Betty Jo's illiness.
