Obituary of Jimmy Ray Hartley

MEBANE - Mr. Jimmy Ray Hartley, 79, of 712 N. Wilba Road, Mebane, NC, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Hartley was born on August 28, 1932 in California, son of the late James Albine and Frances Logan Hartley and husband of the late Peggy Anne West Hartley. He was retired from Duke Medical Center as an Electronic Technician and was a member of East Alamance Church of Christ. He is survived by his daughter: Lori H. Mullis of Mebane; son: Stephen Ray Hartley of Mebane; brothers: Jack Hartley of Idaho, Don Hartley of Huntsville, AL, Jerry Hartley of Gibsonville, and Bill Hartley of Asheville; sisters: Bonnie H. Haney of Burlington, Marjorie H. Sykes of Texas, and Linda Hartley of Burlington; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren also survives. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter: Katherine Anne H. Hartley; one brother: Doyle Hartley and one sister: Mary Lou H. Love. Memorial services will held 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Mebane Street Church of Christ, 1610 N. Mebane Street, Burlington, NC by Mr. Hendrick Joubert.
