She was a native of Rockingham County but was a resident of Alamance County for over 60 years. She retired from Brown's Hosiery where she was in charge of quality control to care for her family. Surviving are one daughter, Cathy W. Heckman her husband Walter; one son, Buck Willoughby and his wife Rebecca; grandchildren: Butch Willoughby, Barbara Tharp, Katlind Willoughby, Kelsie Willoughby, Margery Heckman, and Alexis Heckman; and her niece, Brendia Burcham Lewis and her husband Danny and their children Andy and Shannon. She was predeceased by her parents: Robert M. Hornbuckle and Lera Mae W. Hornbuckle; her husband Wade Odell Willoughby; children: Bobby Willoughby. Her sister Myrtle Burcham and her husband Max.
