Hillsborough - Maria Daconceacao Alves, 94, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Brookshire Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Jose and Evancelina Da Costa. She was born in Portugal on December 2, 1917.
She is survived by her sister, Evanglina Teixeira; a nephew, Jose Teixeira; and five nieces, Evangelina Da Costa, Eduarda Resendes, Merces Viveiras, Concereho Horton, and Graca Couto.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 30th, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Walkers Funeral Home of Hillsborough, 204 N Churton St. Hillsborough, NC 27278. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, May 1st at 12:00PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Hillsborough with Father Tom officiating. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park
