Obituary of Margaret Blake Elmore

Margeret Blake Elmore "Meg" passed away on November 26, 2024.  Meg was born February 24, 1958 in Raleigh NC as the second of four children to Grady and Blake Elmore. Meg’s brother Don passed away in 2014. She is survived by her partner of over 38 years Anne Quarles of their home in Hillsborough, her brother Bill of Hillsborough, her sister Beth of Greensboro, her many wonderful extended family members, and her great friends.  Meg was battling melanoma with very good treatment results working towards surgery next week.  Anne Quarles returned to their home from work that afternoon to find her unresponsive. Her nickname of Saint Meg has now been completely earned.

Meg excelled in every aspect of her life: in sports, in her work, and in her compassion for people and just causes. Her bright light of life will continue and will live on in all those that have been so fortunate to know her well. Thank you in advance for your caring and support.
