Obituary of Thelma C Johnson

HILLSBOROUGH - Thelma C. Johnson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 20, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Tessie Gravette Cox and Robert P. Cox. She was married to the late Martin (Red) Johnson. She is survived by one sister, Evelyn Rimmer; one daughter, Jean Johnson Smith; two grandsons, Jay Turner and his wife Annaliese, and Brian Smith and his wife Beth; two great-grandchildren, Jayme Turner, Logan Smith. She is predeceased by her great-grandson Joey Turner. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church for forty-three years. She was saved January 26, 1969 and baptized in July of the same year in the Eno River. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Wayside Baptist Church from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Services will take place following visitation with Pastor Brad Williams officiating. Interment will follow the service at Union Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be delivered to Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough, P.O.
