I knew and worked with Dr. James Olsen back in the mid-80’s when he and Henry Smith were in the early stages starting Carolina Medical Products. I actually worked out of his basement where he had set up a QC laboratory. We used a ping-pong table as a desk to store various items, including the IBM computer that had two bays, A & B. The 5.25 floppy contained the system operating program (DOS) and the other stored the data! I have MANY fond memories of working with him and attending the Carolina Cosmetic Chemists events in the area. He was a great boss and after I relocated to Maui in 1988, I had the opportunity to have him visit my house while he was traveling with his daughter Lee a few years ago. He is, and will be missed, but remembered fondly! Aloha, Chris Morakis, Maui, Hawaii
