Obituary of Lillie Yancey Mangum

   Lillie Yancey Mangum was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Mebane Assisted Living Center.  She was born on December 8, 1938 to the late Thomas and Dorothy Yancey.  She was the loving wife of Bobby Mangum for 54years and the proud mother of her two daughters, Debra Coggin (and her husband Jimmy) and Karen Mansfield of Chapel Hill.  Lillie grew up and went to school in Roxboro, NC.  She loved spending her spare time reading.  Lillie was the co-administrator of Yancey Rest Home located in Hillsborough.  Survivors include her two daughters, Debra Coggin (and her husband Jimmy) and Karen Mansfield of Chapel Hill; hersister Linda Yancey Allison and her husband Jerry; her granchildren, Eric Isley, Joy Isley, Elaini Mansfield, Addie Mansfield; her great grandchildren, Tyler Isley, Acoya Devlin Isley, Sheyenne Isley as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be at 2:00PM on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Faith Baptist Church with a visitation beginning one hour prior and will be officiated by Pastor Keith Spake.  Burial will follow at Hillsborough Town Cemetery.  Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough is assisting the Mangum family.
