Raised in a large loving family, Jeanne was one of seven children.  She is preceded in death by her sisters, Nellie Ruth Haithcock, Mary Alice Robinson, Annette Adams, and her brothers, George Lloyd and David Lloyd.  She has one surviving sister, Edna Liner of Burlington, whom she enjoyed and visited with often.

Frederick and wife, Ann, of Hillsborough; daughter, Paula Antoinette Frederick Elliott and husband, James, of Cumming, GA; daughter, Amy Lloyd Frederick Roach and husband, Bill, of Morehead City; and son, Rex Scott Frederick and wife, Alysa, of Hillsborough; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren who will forever cherish the great times that they had with their “Mama”.

Jeanne, a proud graduate of Hillsborough High in 1947, was a vibrant individual who thrived on her involvement in various activities such as basketball, badminton, ping pong, and canasta.  She cherished her role as a majorette, reveling in a very active and competitive lifestyle.  She cultivated enduring friendships both at school and through her many pursuits which remained a source of strength and joy that sustained her throughout her lifetime.  Jeanne loved to travel and go for rides and was always happy being on the go.  Known for her love of music and dance, Jeanne possessed an infectious spirit that saw her ever ready to hit the dance floor and “cut a rug”, and she was “twisting” up into her 90’s!

Alongside her husband, she excelled in the art of hosting and entertained with grace and warmth, always ensuring a welcoming home where a pot of coffee awaited any and every visitor.  Her altruistic nature shone through in her thoughtful gestures towards others, never hesitating to lend support to loved ones in both times of celebration and hardship.

Jeanne had an innate sense of elegance and sophistication.  She effortlessly transformed everyday items, whether new or thrifted, into treasures that exuded significance and beauty.

She inherited a love for the outdoors from her mother and took pride in a meticulously maintained and manicured yard.  Her flair for décor and her talent for creating beauty in all aspects in her home and life were truly exceptional.

Prior to having children, Jeanne worked for Durham dentist Dr. Monk.  Later, she and her husband dedicated a significant portion of their time to acquiring historic properties and restoring them hand in hand, her ultimate devotion lay with her family.  Her sincere affection extended to each and every one of her children and grandchildren as well as their spouses, whom she welcomed with open arms and cherished deeply.  She consistently showered them with love and respect exuding pride in their individual achievements and continuously inspiring them to reach their full potential.

Jeanne’s life was greatly influenced by her faith in God.  She was a firm believer in the power of prayer.  She had an unwavering love for the Lord that illuminated her every being, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered.  As a dedicated member of the Episcopal Church for many years, she imparted her deep-rooted beliefs to not only her own children, but also her grandchildren, ensuring they all embraced the same profound love for Christ that she held so dear.

Jeanne’s memory will be cherished forever, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched through the years.  She will truly be missed.
