In Winston Salem, North Carolina, Mike began a career as the Operations Manager of bakeries. Through said career path he found his wife Kelly, and with her daughter, Kristen, and his two sons, Aaron and Zachary they formed a loving bond and strong familial unit that continued until his death.
Mike, was described by those around him as reserved, though they would also commend him on never having met someone he could not make laugh. He was forever doting on his family as the patriarch, though he remained a “mama’s boy” calling his mother nearly every day until his last. Avid sports lover and enthusiast of all things: cinematic, gourmet, and technological – there was never a conversation he could not breach. He was known for his quick wit, immense knowledge, and keen sense as an epicure.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Stan. He is survived by his mother Ilene, his wife Kelly, his three children, Aaron, Zachary, and Kristen, his three siblings, Julie, Tamara, and Mark, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as his work family and multitude of close friends. A remembrance will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 in his home in Mebane, North Carolina.
