Obituary of Jeanette Evans

Agnes Jeanette Evans, age 79, of Mebane, NC passed away surrounded by her family on May 31st 2024, at AuthoraCare Hospice of Alamance County.  

She was born on July 29,1944

Jeanette was a loving mother to Angie King (Leonard), Lisa Maynard (Randy Tate), Jay Evans, Sharmee Snow (Randy). 

She was blessed with 10 grandchildren Jamie (James), DJ (Michelle), Bryan (Veronica), Kathy (Joshua), George, Brittany (Jonathan), Jake (Betty Ann), Chase, Sierra (Chris), and Evan (Maggie).

She was also blessed with 16 great grandchildren Dylan, Trinity (Dylan), Jase, Addilea, Ava, Isaiah, Aydin, Tyler, Jaylan, Noah, Korbin, River, Stephen, Kennedy, Drew, and Jeice.

She was survived by her sister Malinda Madden (Wayne), Shirley Racke (Jim), and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband Buster Evans and parents Marshall and Maxine Anthony.  A brother Marshall Anthony Jr., a sister Amy Anthony Rogers and a son-in-law Ken Maynard.

Jeanette retired from Alamance Community College after 30 years as an Administrative Assistant for Adult Basic Education and GED program. She also played the piano for several years at Faith Baptist Church in Mebane, NC. She loved spending time with her family and vacationing at White Lake, NC and Carolina Beach, NC.

Our mom is now in the arms of Jesus Christ and has reunited with her beloved husband, our daddy. 

Services will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, with visitation from 1:00 pm – 2:45 pm, and the funeral at 3:00 pm at Walkers Funeral Home in Mebane, NC.  The family will receive visitors at her home at 406 N. Ninth St, Mebane, NC.
