Obituary of Sarah Louise Rigdon

Sarah Louise Watson Rigdon, 95, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, died at home October 28, 2023. She was born April 5, 1928 in Waycross, Georgia to J. Hall and Berta Lu Watson, both deceased. She and her late husband Hodges Rigdon, were small business owners and lived in Ashburn, Georgia for over forty years. She was a member of the DAR, Eastern Star, Garden Club of America, and Carrboro United Methodist Church. She was also predeceased by one daughter Pam Brown, one great grandson Harris Meether and five brothers, Jess Watson, Tom Watson, Gus Watson, Ernest Watson and Dick Watson.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay Borum (Neil), Fernandina Beach, FL, Sara Ann Riggle (Ron), Chapel Hill, NC, three sons Russell Rigdon (Wanda), Ashburn, GA, Hall Rigdon (Anne), Kennesaw, GA, Dickie Rigdon (Suzanne), Rocklin, CA, one sister Mary Catherine Gussler (Lee), Sun City, FL, fourteen grandchildren, Katrina Brown, Michael Carter, Brian Nedela, Meredith Kendall, Brad Rigdon, Jess Rigdon, Ryan Rigdon, John Rigdon, Sarah Garner, Lizzie Hammont, Scout Jones, Juliet Jones, Zoey Rigdon, Vic Rigdon, twelve great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
