Obituary of Sara Lane Carter

Sara Lane Carter, 86, passed away October 26, 2023 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Burlington, NC. Mrs. Carter was a native of Alamance County. She retired from Kingsdown in Mebane with 42 years of service. She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church and found solace in listening to her collection of The Gaither Family gospel music DVDs. 

Mrs. Carter was the wife of the late Ralph motgomery Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Preston Wells and Sara Irene Isley Wells.

She is survived by her brother Cyrus Preston Wells and his wife Linda Wells of Burlington, NC as well as one nephew and one niece. 

The funeral will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church. There will be a visitation prior to the funeral at 3pm, inside the church. The funeral will be at 4pm followed by a graveside interment. Officiating will be the Reverend Keith Spake.
