Obituary of Priscilla Wilkerson Lloyd

Priscilla Lloyd , 88, of Hillsborough passed away peacefully at her home on July 13, 2023.  Priscilla was born on January 21, 1935 to William Walter and Lora Tilley Wilkerson. Along with her parents, Priscilla was preceded in death by husband Erle Lloyd and daughter Elizabeth “Libby” McDonald. Priscilla is survived by daughter Cindy (Boyd) Franklin and Grandson William “Will” Franklin.  Brothers Ronald and W. Danny Wilkerson, Nieces and Nephews Rhonda W. Snyder, Jamie W. Dean, Anne Young, Judy Pierce, Sandra McKee, Fred Lloyd, Jeanne Allen, Rick Allen.

Priscilla was employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina for 41 years. She was faithful to her family, Cane Creek Baptist Church and the Orange Grove Community.  Priscilla served as an original member of the Orange Grove Volunteer Fire Department for many years as a firefighter and a member of the Board of Directors.

A Graveside Service will be held at Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday July 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Dr. Michael Ramsey.  Comfortable/casual attire please.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Priscilla’s name to: Cane Creek Baptist Church at 6901 Orange Grove Road, Hillsborough, NC 27278, Orange Grove Fire Department at 6800 Orange Grove Road, Hillsborough, NC 27278 and Gentiva Hospice at 2730 Tucker Street, Suite 600 Burlington, NC 27215.

The Family wishes to extend a sincere thanks and appreciation to the many kind and loving caregivers that were an integral part of her care this past year. We are grateful to include the Church, Community, Family, Friends, Shelia Worth, Diane Tapp, Darlene White, Janet Onso Nyameyeh and Gentiva Hospice Care.
