Obituary of Addie Campbell Pierce

HILLSBOROUGH - Mrs. Addie Lillian ("Boo") Campbell Pierce, 90, died July 14, 2012. She was a native of Orange County and was a graduate of Chapel Hill High School. She worked in Wilson Library on the UNC-CH campus for 36 years before retirement. She was a life time member of Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Brenda P. Bowden (Roger), Chapel Hill, one son, Edwin Lee Pierce (Betsy), Chapel Hill, two granddaughters: Kristie Bowden Cash (Mark), Chapel Hill, and Karla Bowden Smith (Steve), Apex, one grandson, Gaston York Pierce (Jamie), Chapel Hill, and five great grandsons: Chase and Colin Cash, Connor and Hayden Smith, and Mason Pierce, niece, Pam Durham (Lamont) and other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lee Pierce, infant son, Glenn , her parents, Addie Sykes and Eugene Campbell, three sisters: Mettie Latham, Eugenia McIver, Mary Frances Covington, and one brother, Elmer Campbell. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday in Antioch Baptist Church by the Rev. David Atwater and Rev. Ernie Keck. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
