Obituary of James Albert Wade Jr.

James Albert Wade Jr(Jimmy). 78 from Cedar Grove NC passed away on April 23rd 2023 at UNC hospital surrounded by his family.  The husband of Jackie Harrelson Wade of Hillsborough NC.  Jimmy was a retired tobacco farmer who loved to hunt with his beagles. He also loved to coach softball. Jimmy loved his family and enjoyed his nieces,nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews as if they were his own children. And they loved him just as much as he loved them.

As a lifelong member of Carr Methodist Church his faith was important in his life. 

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Jackie Harrelson Wade, his sister, Cindy W. Shambley, a brother, Jerry L. Wade (Myra) , four nieces and nephews: Todd Wade (Lori), Melissa W. Turbeville (Steven), Wade Shambley, and Rachel Shambley (Josh); six grand nieces and nephews: Brandon, Mattie, Sara, Hallie, James and Henry.

He was predeceased by his mother, Rachel Phelps Wade and his father James Albert Wade Sr.

The funeral will be held 11 AM Wednesday, April 26th in Carr Methodist Church by the Rev. Clarence Toney. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Visitation in the fellowship hall will follow the services.
