Obituary of Marvin Odell Overton

Marvin Odell Overton, 81, of Reidsville, NC, died on April 17, 2023, at Parkview Rehabilitation in Chapel Hill, NC  He was born in West Virginia on March 10, 1942 to James and Dorothy Overton.  After high school he served in the army and was sent to Vietnam. He was discharged in March 1970.  He was in the construction business for 50 years.  He loved God, his family and his country. 

Marvin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Alice "Faye" Overton, his son Jimmy Overton, his wife Happi and their two children Brock and Briles Overton, his daughter-in-law Mechele Overton and grandson Landon Overton. 

He is preceded in death by a son Marvin Bryan Overton.

The service will be April 20, 2023.  Visitation will be at 11:00 A.M.  The service will be at Walkers Funeral Home in Hillsborough at 12:00 P.M.  Burial will be at Little River Church following the service.  

Palbearers will be David Blalock, Tyler Felt, Junior Luffman, Jason Manley, Brock Overton, and Landon Overton.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to Little River Cemetery Fund.
