Obituary of William “Bill” Harry Lodge

William “Bill” Harry Lodge passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023, at the age of 87, surrounded by his family. 

Bill was born August 2,1935 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up playing softball with his friends and watching Cubs games with his grandfather. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1957 and attended graduate school at Loyola University. He worked as a manufacturer’s representative, a job that moved him and his family from Chicago to Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Connecticut, where he resided until retirement. In 2002, he moved to Pittsboro, North Carolina with his beloved wife Barbara. 

Bill was an avid Notre Dame football fan, antique train collector, history buff and member of the Knights of Columbus in both Connecticut and North Carolina.  He is survived by his blended family of 9 children, 6 sons by marriage, 17 grandchildren, lifelong friend Gene, his cat Leo and wife Barbara. They were his greatest joys.
