I have only just heard and am so sorry for the loss you are feeling. I have worked remotely with Dawn over the years as an optometrist who uses Ocutech devices for my patients. Dawn has been such a supportive colleague in this process, and I just thought the world of her. Her warmth and kindness is immediately felt and appreciated and has touched me in a deep way. I met Dawn in person only once at a Low Vision seminar and felt a kinship at once. I will miss her. Lidija Balciunas

Dawn is at peace now. She is in that big garden in the sky being cared for by the one that created us all. Kaye, with the passage of time - your pain will begin to dissipate - your cries will turn into smiles, and your tears of sorrow will become tears of joy. Most importantly, as time passes, you will begin harvesting fun-filled memories of the special moments you and Dawn shared together. Dawn is loving, caring, and giving. As sad as we are, we can smile when we think of her special brand of Southern “kindness” she brought during visits. We’re thankful for the medical referral that literally brought new light into our eyes. Of course, when we tried to thank her she’d say “No thanks, we’re family.” It’s hard to let go of family, luckily she’s permanently engraved in our hearts. For the many loved ones she leaves behind think of the happy family times you shared. Her love can still bring you joy. Cheryl & Steve
