Roy and Don shared a small office for 4 memorable years at John’s Hopkins while climbing the mountain toward their PhD’s in Geology. David Lindsay completed the trio and 58 years later we are all fast friends with a treasure trove of shared memories.
After year one Roy met Betty, the love of his life. David had met Barbara too, so we 6 had many wonderful times together, treasured memories. Here are Roy and Betty with David and Barb squeezed together on our “couch”, namely a single bed with cushions. Roy is holding our new baby Jennifer in January 1967 and he is a natural! Roy was warm, kind, humorous, and so very excellent at everything he did. Every time his name appeared in an email or a Christmas card in the mail, we knew we were in for a treat! Whether he began with a political article ( or diatribe), one could depend on great cartoons and kitty Slippurr’s latest adventures.
Roy loved many things greatly and was loved and appreciated greatly in return.
