Obituary of Judith Ann Martin Culbreth

Judith Martin Culbreth, 78, of Graham, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 after battling a short illness. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 4, 1944 and she grew up in Newton, North Carolina.

She graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Judy was a long time resident of both Black Mountain and Hickory, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlo Martin and Dorothy Cashion Martin of Newton, North Carolina.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas of Graham, North Carolina, a son, Martin Culbreth of Chesapeake, Virginia, a daughter, Emily Culbreth of Raleigh, North Carolina and a sister, Sandra Taylor of Burgaw, North Carolina.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her life at First United Methodist Church of Graham on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 2:00pm with the family receiving friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church, 303 N. Main Street, Graham, North Carolina 27253.
