Please share a memory of Marvin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marvin Bryan Overton, 52, of Pleasant Garden, N.C. died on 11/22/22 at Vidant Hospital in Greenville, N.C.  He was born in Durham, N.C. on February 9, 1970 to Marvin and Faye Overton.  After high school, Bryan enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he actively served his country for 6 years.  Bryan also served in the U.S. Air Force as a traditional reservist and for the last year was serving active duty.  After serving his country for 22 years, he was committed to serving a total of 30 years before he planned to retire from the Air Force.  Bryan worked with the U.S. Postal Service faithfully from 2001 until he passed.  He loved God and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Randleman, N.C.  Bryan loved life, serving his country, and loved to bear witness and share the gospel to anyone who would listen.  He was so friendly and didn't know a stranger, jumping in to help anyone who was in need without hesitation.  He was a devoted husband, father, and step-father.  He loved his family and was very protective of them.  Bryan is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mechele A. Overton, his son, Landon R. Overton, his step-son, Brandon A. Bryant, his parents, Marvin O. Overton, and Alice "Faye" Overton, brother, Jimmy Overton, his wife, Happi, and their two children, Brock and Briles.
