Obituary of Larry Corbett Medlin

Larry Corbett Medlin passed away peacefully at home on Friday November 4th 2022. Larry was born December 18, 1942 in Durham NC to John Jackson Medlin and Letiko King Medlin. Larry is survived by Pamela June Medlin, former wife, life-long love and care giver until his passing, his son John Lacy Medlin, wife Cindy, and brother David Medlin, wife Evelyn. Larry was preceded in death by his father John, mother Letiko and brother Wayne Medlin. Larry loved and leaves behind to cherish his memory, grandson Cody Medlin, wife Casey, granddaughter Lacy Medlin, great-grandson Raylan Medlin and several beloved nephews and nieces. He grew up and lived his entire life in West Hillsborough. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Larry worked at Cones Mill in Hillsborough as a warp hand, worked as a self-employed brick mason, owned a Bait and Tackle Shop, but was most well-known for running the Pit Stop and Larry’s Bar at West End. He loved fishing, golf, and playing music. His grandchildren and great grandchild are the legacy that he was most proud of. Larry lived life on his terms until he asked the Lord into his life to be his savior. He will be missed.   

A funeral Service will be held at Walker’s Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsborough on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hillsborough Town Cemetery. 

The family will be receiving visitors at the home of Pam Medlin at 141 Cody Lane in Hillsborough.
