Ellen and family, I am so heartbroken yet thankful! I can’t even begin to number the countless hours Betty and I spent talking on the phone to each other, (Gary would just wave bye to me when he knew I got on the phone with her.), or the all afternoon long lunches we shared where we sat for hours sipping on sweet tea (with lemon of course). Betty made me a better Christian, a better friend,…a better human being and I am forever grateful that God blessed me 26+ years ago when we met. We shared our tears and sorrows, our joys and triumphs, our hopes and dreams, and all the milestones that come with raising children. I can’t imagine having a better friend or “beastie” (as she called me), by my side in life!
