Mayra, John, James, and family: Diane and I were so sadden to learn of John’s passing to meet his Lord and Savior. We will always remember the kindness and generosity John and you demonstrated to us. The cookouts at your home were epic. John had the gift of cooking. We love all of y’all and may the Lord wrap His loving and compassionate arms around you at this time. Ron and Diane O’Neal

At DEC, John helped me develop as a unit manager and we quickly became friends. When John wanted help working on his Jeep truck, I volunteered. On my way from Richmond to Hillsboro, the 5 speed transmission went out in my truck. John jumped in his car and joined me in Southhill Va. We changed the transmission and clutch in the shopping center parking lot. We arrived at his home that evening and relaxed with some adult beverages. The point is, John would give you the shirt off of his back, and not complain about being cold. Love you John

We loved John and his generosity to us! John had amazing culinary skills. He enjoyed making many interesting and international dishes. Whenever I was at the house he was explaining the dish and he knew exactly how to cook for a crowd. It was always fun to be with Mayra, John and family. God bless you all and we are deeply saddened by the passing our friend John. Louanne and Keith Warren

John taught me so much. During my highschool years when Jimmy and I would go hunting, to my adult years when he and I would hunt, through the passing of my own father and his friend. I will never forget the times we shared and will forever know that the Renegar's and the Wagner's are family!
