Jerry was so kind to me when I moved to Hurdle Mills in 2007. He helped me with farm equipment and baled my field for my horses or his cows. Jerry was such a kind generous man and friend. I recently heard of his passing and my heart broke. Thank you Jerry Hawkins for all of the kindness you freely gave to me and others. ~ Anne Shrago

Mr.Hawkins (Jerry) was a great and respected man. He definitely loved his family, and I got to know him during his grandson Bailey and my son Trey’s wrestling matches. He also was so kind to give me his white handkerchief with my out breaks of sweating. God Bless his family during this time of loss. Respectfully, Denice Fisher

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free! I follow the plan God laid for me. I saw His face, I heard His call, I took His hand and left it all… I could not stay another day, To love, to laugh, to work or play; Tasks left undone must stay that way. And if my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss… Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss. My life’s been full, I’ve savored much: Good times, good friends, a loved-one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief – Don’t shorten yours with undue grief. Be not burdened with tears of sorrow, Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.
